刺激選択的順応を取り入れた短期記憶のモデル

Abstract

The brain can retain several short-term memories at the same time, but the mechanism is not yet clear. There exist neural network models of short-term memory, can retain well for only a small number of patterns. In this study, we construct a model based on a new finding Stimulus Specific Adaptation and examine it by computer simulations. The present model can retain 4 patterns as short-term memories at the same time. The result suggest how recency cells contribute to the short-term memories.
